Exciting News! We have gotten the details of the Fourth International Bollschweiler Family Meeting! It is to be held in Wilmington, Delaware this summer and I am so excited about it!

We met our reunion hosts, Brian and Rocky Bushweller at the 2006 reunion in Germany, and they are such great people. I truly appreciate them hosting the reunion this year. It will be my first trip to the American northeast and we are thrilled to have the chance to go. Especially with the hopes of seeing the members of the Bollschweiler family we already now and also have the opportunity to meet other family members.

The details of the reunion can be found on at the Meeting 2008 page. You can also read the invitation, the itinerary and even register for the meeting itself. Please take note of the message from Brian and Rocky, as well as the one from Hanno and Brigitte.

I hope to see you all at the reunion, but if you can't make it be sure to send your updates to Hanno for the family tree.

Hello! Long time no update. After a gentle nudging from Hanno I've finally posted my pictures from the 2006 reunion. I sincerely apologize for not doing so sooner. It's only been a year and a half after all. I'm embarrassed to say that I don't have much excuse either, just basic procrastination.

If you have any other photos you would like me to add, please send them to me and I'll post them on the site.

I hope everyone had a great holiday season and are doing well.

I've FINALLY gotten around to updating the site and posting my report of the reunion in Germany. I am constantly amazed how long it takes me to get things done anymore. I blame the fact that I have four little ones who seem to need something as soon as I manage to sit down to update. But the truth probably has something to do with the fact that I'm an accomplished procrastinator. I also mislead myself into thinking that summers are quiet and conducive to getting work done. Not so! I've had 3 weddings, a trip to Vegas and Southern California and my husband starting a new job. I figured that I had better get this update done before I have a move to contend with as well.

You can find my report as well as the ones Hanno has written by clicking here. I've also created a page in the updates section for family updates. This is where I will post any new information I receive about the family from Hanno and other Bollschweiler family members. This way we will all be current on the latest news and findings. I will also be updating the site with my photos from the reunion, but this might take a bit longer as I have over 3000 pictures from our trip to go through and resize for web use.

Please feel free to e-mail me with any comments or concerns about the site. And even better, I'd love to get some of your pictures, family histories and other Bollschweiler family related information for the site! I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer and staying nice and cool.

I have added a link to the Bush/Bollschwiler family web site (www.bollschwiler.com), who are related to the Bollschweiler family through Johann Georg Bollschweiler. If you need more information please feel free to contact me or Hanno. But please do so as soon as possible.

Exciting news just in from Hanno! I just received a copy of the initial itinerary for the 2006 Meeting in Germany! I was thrilled to see the wonderful stops he has planned. I'm so excited! You can currently find this on the Meeting 2006 page, which I just added to the site. This area will eventually hold all the information for the 2006 reunion, itinerary, invitations, etc. I hope you are all planning on attending. The 2000 meeting was one of the highlights of my life. It's worth the saving your extra pennies to attend. Hanno and Brigitte do such a fabulous job, you'll regret not participating. Keep coming back in the weeks ahead to see what new information we have for you.

Hello one and all! I've just done a little tinkering with the site, making sure all the links work and such. I've also updated some pages that were so ancient that it was reprehensible of me to not update them. So hopefully everything is a little more current and in good working order. It would be great to get some more histories and pictures. If any of you have some I would love to post them. I'd be more than willing to come to you and pay for photo copies or to scan them, or what ever! Anything to get the info! I just feel that it's very important to preserve the information and share it with as many family members as possible. Thanks for your help!

Happy New Year! Well, it's been a while since I've updated! :-) Sorry about that! There have been few changes in the site until now. I have updated the Genealogy section of the site has been updated to include all of the descendants of Georg Bollschweiler, not just Jacob Friedrich. Many thanks to Hanno for doing the work and sending it to me. Click Here to go directly to the revised page. On a more personal matter, on November 5th, 2004 I delivered my 2nd son and 4th child. Darien Geoffrey Ogilvie made his grand entrance into the world at 7:25 pm, weighing in at 8 lbs. 12 oz. and 20 inches long. Click Here to see more about Darien and our family. I hope you are all safe and well. Recent events in Southeast Asia make one reflect on the importance of family and security. Be Well!

July 28, 2003

Hello everyone! I've added or changed some family information as was requested by some of you at the Family Directory page and changed a few things on the About Me page. I have also added a page dedicated to our friend and Bollschweiler relative, Steve Parkes, who passed away in May. You may visit that page by Clicking Here or on the link at the main page. I think it would be wonderful if those of you who knew Steve could write up some memories of him and e-mail them to me for the page. Anyway, I hope everyone is having a good summer and staying cool.

Happy New Year!!! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and are happy and healthy. As you can see it's bee a while since I've updated the site. I think I've had a fairly good excuse though. On October 1st, 2002 I gave birth to our third child, Paige Victoria Ogilvie. To learn more about Paige you can Click Here. I have come to realize that three children means your outnumbered and therefore much more difficult to get things done. :-) We've had a lot of fun though.

I have also finally added some information Hanno sent me months ago about the descendants of Jacob Friedrich Bollschweiler. You will find it in the Genealogy section of the site or you can go straight to it by Clicking Here.

I also anticipate to getting the family photo from the 2002 Salt Lake City reunion posted in the near future. I will also try to get the ordering information added to the site as well.

August 11, 2002

It has taken me quite a while to do it, but I've finally updated the site to include memories of the 2002 Bollschweiler Meeting. I've intended to do it for months now, but my pictures got lost and what I've found has been scarce. I didn't want to put it off any longer however. I hope that you will enjoy looking at the information I've posted on the reunion. I've also added information for those of you who were interested in the Black Forest Dolls Hanno Trurnit brought from Germany. That information it located in the 2002 Meeting section or by Clicking Here. I should be posting more information about the family picture that was taken at the reunion in the next month or so. Hope everyone is having a great summer!

I have added a link to Roderick Schwald's web site, The Schwald Family Tree Project. Roderick is a relative of the Bollschweiler family as his ancestors married Bollschweilers. It is a neat site. If you would like to explore his site, the link is in the Updates section under Links. Or you can go directly to the Links Page of the site by Clicking Here.

April 8, 2002

This isn't really an update that pertains to the Bollschweiler family, just something I have been experimenting with on the About Me section of the site. I have added sound clips to my favorite quotes. It was something I just wanted to try and it seems to have worked if you have Windows Media Player.

April 5, 2002

The final preparations have been made for the 2002 International Bollschweiler family meeting. Now all the information you need to plan for the meeting is available at this site.

- First, there is an updated Meeting Agenda on the 2002 Itinerary page. To go directly to it Click Here.

- Second, I have added a Price List page to the Meeting 2002 section. This list will show you all the costs associated with attending the meeting. To go directly to that page Click Here.

- Third, I have also added a Form you can fill out, here online, that will let meeting organizers what meeting activities you and your family are going to attend. To go directly to that page Click Here.

March 26, 2002

I have just added the hotel information for the 2002 International Bollschweiler family meeting to the site. Go to the 2002 Meeting Page for more information or Click Here.

March 24, 2002

I have added some questions that might help those of you who are interested in writing your personal histories but don't know where to start. To find the questions go to the Family Info Page or Click Here.

Obviously the whole sight has been updated and changed. I hope you all like the new layout because I've really had a good time creating it. If there are any problems PLEASE let me know and I will fix them.  I have 2 pretty big projects I'm working on for the site.

The first is to make certain areas of the site (like the Family Directory) only available with a username and password.   I would like to do this so personal information will only be able to be accessed by family.   I'm not sure how to do this, but my brother-in-law does, so the next time he is here in town I'll have him help me set it up. You will only have to register once and just remember you username and password, though I'll be able to send you replacements.

The second is to get the Bollschweiler Family GEDCOM files on a database located on the site.  I have been working on this problem for close to a year and I'm still not sure how to do it.  If any of you have any information on it I would really appreciate any input.  I'm not sure when these two big changes will be implemented but I am hoping with be within 6 months from now.
